About Poyntzpass Silver Band

What We Do

The band meet on a Thursday night for rehearsal in Acton just outside Poyntzpass. We have a youth band that practices from 6:45 and the senior band starts at 7:30 and finishes at 9:30. The band also has a learners class on a Tuesday night.

Concerts

the band performs many concerts throughout the year including our own charity concert.

Marching

we take part in various parades including loyal orders, British Legion and family fun days.

Contesting

we contest twice a year in Armagh and Fivemiletown.

Church Services

we assist our local churches by providing musical support for their services.

Christmas Carols

during December you will often find us playing at Carol Services or playing carols in public areas.

Garden Fetes

during the summer we can be kept busy by playing at Garden Fetes.

Our Charity Work

The band supports a different charity each year. This year we are helping B Positive.
